Data Sheets & Stock Check »Surface mount fuses (smf) that are not in industry standardized package sizes (1206, 0603 or 0402) typically offer higher voltage ratings or special characteristics such as higher surge tolerance for the telecom market. Some surface mount fuses come with a surface mount clip assembly or fuseholder allowing field replacement. Another series has a rectangular shape with gull wing surface mount leads. Surface mount fuses are available in fast acting and time lag versions. The smf fuses have rated voltages range from 65 to 600 volts AC. The smf fuses have ampere ratings range from 0.062 to 30 amps. A typical surface mount fuse typically carries a UL Recognition and CSA Approval. Some smf series are built to the European IEC 60127-4 and the Universal Modular Fuse-Link (UMF) standards. Telecom fuses typically pass the Telcordia GR-1089-CORE test criteria.
Littelfuse and Bussmann offer many of these types of surface mount fuses. Littelfuse uses the Slo-Blo ®, SlimLine ®, Nano2 ® , Pico ®, TeleLink ®, OMNI-BLOK ® and FLAT-PAK ® brand names for smf fuses.
