Data Sheets & Stock Check »What is a Class RK5 Fuse? A UL Class RK5 fuse is a current limiting time delay fuse that is rated to interrupt a minimum of 200,000 amps. The UL Class RK5 fuse is less expensive but less current limiting than the Class RK1 fuse. It has a dual element construction. RK5 fuses are rated at either 250 or 600 volts AC. Ampere ratings range from 1/10 to 600 amps. Littelfuse self certifies their RK5 fuse to a 300,000 amp interrupting rating. Blown fuse indication versions are available. The RK5 fuse is UL Listed under UL 248-12, Class RK5 and CSA Certified.
Bussmann, Littelfuse and Mersen offer Class RK5 fuses. Bussmann uses the Fusetron® brand name for its UL Class RK5 fuses. Littelfuse markets its Class RK5 fuses under the POWR-PRO® and Indicator® brand names. Mersen uses the Tri-Onic® and SmartSpot® brand names.
