AC Line TVS Diodes
Data Sheets & Stock Check »What are AC line TVS diodes? AC line TVS diodes or transient voltage suppressors are a discreet, fast switching, semiconductor devices that can respond to overvoltage events faster than most other types of circuit protection devices. AC line TVS diodes feature low clamping voltages and quick response times that are useful for protecting against very fast and damaging voltage transients, such as lightning, inductive load switching and electrostatic discharge. TVS stands for discrete transient voltage suppression. AC line TVS diodes are high current diodes are specifically designed for use in AC line applications. They are axial leaded and have a bidirectional polarity. High power AC line TVS diodes offer Peak Pulse Current IPP (amps) protection ranging from 1kA to 15,000 kA. The standoff voltage ranges from 15 to 530 volts.
Littefuse offers high power AC line transient voltage suppressor diodes.
