Solar Fuse - Class R Size

What is a Class R size solar fuse? Class R size solar fuses are built in accordance with UL 2579, UL Std. 248-12 and CSA C22.2 standards. Class R size solar fuses are designed for photovoltaic applications and have the same dimensions as the UL Class R fuses. Bussmann offers fast acting Class R size solar fuses. The Bussmann solar fuses are rated at 600 volts AC and 600 volts DC. The interrupting rating is up to 200,000 amps AC and up to 20,000 amps DC. Amperage ratings range from 20 to 350 amps.

Littelfuse also offers a blade style Class R size solar fuse. These Class R size solar fuses are fast acting and are rated at 1,000 volts DC. The interrupting rating is up to 10,000 amps DC. Amperage ratings range from 250 to 400 amps. Class R size solar fuses are UL Recognized and CSA Certified.
