What are radial leaded PTC devices? The radial leaded PTC devices provide resettable overcurrent protection for general applications like power inputs and port protection. The PTC radial leaded device has either a round or square epoxy encapsulated body with radial leads. The USBR series provides overcurrent protection for USB applications. The 16R, 30R, 60R and 72R series of radial leaded PTC devices feature voltage ratings ranging from 6 volts to 72 volts and have maximum fault current ratings ranging from 40 amps to 100 amps. The 250R series PTC radial leaded device is designed to protect against short duration high voltage fault currents found in telecom applications. This series helps networking equipment meet the protection requirements specified in ITU K.20 and K.21. The 600R series radial leaded PTC device is designed to protect telecom equipment from power fault events. The 600R Series helps telecom equipment meet the Telcordia GR-1089 and UL 60950/EN60950/IEC60950 requirements plus the ITU K.20, K.21 and K.44 requirements. Radial Leaded PTC Devices are UL Recognized and TUV Certified. All series are lead free and RoHS Compliant. Key parameters for the radial leaded PTC device product offerings are as follows:
