BusBar
A Bus Bar is an electrical device that is designed to distribute a large positive to individual circuit protection devices that feed a number of smaller wires. Bus Bars can also collect negative conductors and step them up to larger ones. Bus Bars are used in a number of electrical circuits in boats, trucks, and busses. It is impractical to attach wires from numerous loads in a vehicle or boat directly to the battery terminal or battery switch terminal. Large electrical systems may use several layers of progressively smaller Bus Bars. Busbars are available in a variety of configurations. The Common Bus Bar serves as a negative conductor collector or a distributor of positive conductors. A DualBus Bus Bar combines positive and negative Bus bars. PowerBar Bus Bars are high current Bus Bars that are built for high amp loads such as connecting multiple battery banks or connecting charger output to multiple battery banks. Bus Bars are offered in a variety of screw and stud terminal configurations. Voltage ratings range from 150 to 300 VAC and 48 to 150 VDC. Continuous amperage ratings range from 100 to 1,000 amps.
