What are specialty MOV's? The MA Series is an axial leaded specialty MOV. The 3mm zinc oxide disc is encapsulated in epoxy. The MA Series is a specialty MOV varistor that is intended to protect components and signal/data lines from low energy transients where the small axial leaded package is required. The RA Series radial leaded specialty MOV varistors are supplied in a low profile box with a precise seating plane to increase mechanical stability. This feature is suitable for applications in a high vibration environment. The FBMOV Series is a thermally protected MOV with a fuse to prevent rupture in a high fault current situation. It also has a lead for indication. The SMOV25S Series is a 25mm square specialty varistor with an intergral thermal disconnect and a microswitch for disconnect indication. It has a maximum single surge capability of 20kA. The SMOV34S Series is a 34mm square varistor with an intergral thermal disconnect and a microswitch for disconnect indication. It has a maximum single surge capability of 40kA. The TCMOV Series specialty MOV is a 34mm square varistor with an intergral thermal disconnect and a microswitch for disconnect indication. It has a maximum single surge capability of 50kA
