Data Sheets & Stock Check »What is a Battery Fuse? The CF8 battery post fuse mounts directly on the battery terminal with an associated hex nut. The body of the battery terminal fuse is made of ceramic and there is a transparent cover to allow visual inspection of the fuse element. It is rated at 58 volts DC and it interrupts 2,000 amps. Battery fuse ampere ratings range from 50 to 300 amps. The CF8 battery terminal fuse is built in accordance with the UL 248-14, Special Purpose Fuse standard.
