What is a Hi-Amp Thermal Circuit Breaker? The Hi-Amp Thermal Circuit Breaker offers higher amperage ratings than the other thermal breakers. The Hi-Amp Breakers are typically used in auxiliary and accessory circuits in truck, bus, RVs and marine systems. They can also be used in battery chargers and DC audio systems. Sealed versions of the Hi-Amp Thermal Circuit Breaker are designed for bilge and engine compartment applications. The Hi-Amp Circuit Breakers are available in Type I Auto Reset, Type II Modified Reset and Type III Manual Reset versions. The Type III version is also available with a Push-to-Trip option. An option with a reset mechanism that provides visual indication of a tripped condition is also available. Hi-Amp Thermal Circuit Breakers are either surface mounted or panel mounted. Hi-Amp Thermal Circuit Breakers have ampere ratings from 25 to 150 amps. The voltage ratings are offered at either 32 VDC or 42 VDC. The interrupting rating is 3,000 amps at 32 VDC. Hi-Amp Thermal Circuit Breakers are SAE J1625; ABYC E-11; CE and SAE J1171 (Ignition Protected) compliant.
